Charge ordering in doped manganese oxides: lattice dynamics and magnetic structure
Based on the Hamiltonian of small polarons with the strong nearest neighbor
repulsion, we have investigated the charge ordering phenomena observed in
half-doped manganites R_{1/2}A_{1/2}MnO_3. We have explored possible
consequences of the charge ordering phase in the half-doped manganites. First,
we have studied the renormalization of the sound velocity around ,
considering the acoustic phonons coupled to the electrons participating in the
charge ordering. Second, we have found a new antiferromagnetic phase induced by
the charge ordering, and discussed its role in connection with the specific

F-wave versus P-wave Superconductivity in Organic Conductors
Current experimental results suggest that some organic quasi-one-dimensional
superconductors exhibit triplet pairing symmetry. Thus, we discuss several
potential triplet order parameters for the superconducting state of these
systems within the functional integral formulation. We compare weak spin-orbit
coupling , , and symmetries via several thermodynamic
quantities. For each symmetry, we analyse the temperature dependences of the
order parameter, condensation energy, specific heat, and superfluid density

Charge asymmetry in high-energy photoproduction in the electric field of a heavy atom
The charge asymmetry in the differential cross section of high-energy
photoproduction in the electric field of a heavy atom is obtained.
This asymmetry arises due to the Coulomb corrections to the amplitude of the
process (next-to-leading term with respect to the atomic field). The deviation
of the nuclear electric field from the Coulomb field at small distances is
crucially important for the charge asymmetry. Though the Coulomb corrections to
the total cross section are negligibly small, the charge asymmetry is
measurable for selected final states of and . We further discuss
the feasibility for experimental observation of this effect.Comment: 6 pages, 3 figure
Infrared divergence in QED at finite temperature
We consider various ways of treating the infrared divergence which appears in
the dynamically generated fermion mass, when the transverse part of the photon
propagator in N flavour at finite temperature is included in the
Matsubara formalism. This divergence is likely to be an artefact of taking into
account only the leading order term in the expansion when we
calculate the photon propagator and is handled here phenomenologically by means
of an infrared cutoff. Inserting both the longitudinal and the transverse part
of the photon propagator in the Schwinger-Dyson equation we find the dependence
of the dynamically generated fermion mass on the temperature and the cutoff
parameters. It turns out that consistency with certain statistical physics
arguments imposes conditions on the cutoff parameters. For parameters in the
allowed range of values we find that the ratio is approximately 6, consistently with previous calculations which

Density Induced Quantum Phase Transitions in Triplet Superconductors
We consider the possibility of quantum phase transitions in the ground state
of triplet superconductors where particle density is the tunning parameter. For
definiteness, we focus on the case of one band quasi-one-dimensional triplet
superconductors but many of our conclusions regarding the nature of the
transition are quite general. Within the functional integral formulation, we
calculate the electronic compressibility and superfluid density tensor as a
function of the particle density for various triplet order parameter symmetries
and find that these quantities are non-analytic when a critical value of the
